A Little About What I Do . . .

With over a decade of experience in a wide array of photography genres – from wildlife and nature fine art to unique event and portrait photography to real estate showcase and marketing projects – I bring a fresh perspective and creative eye to each and every photo session. Whether I am knee high in mud, seeking out new opportunities to capture incredible moments in the outdoors, or I am working with a client to help them find the unique, ‘just right’ look and feel for their images, which will enable them to relive memories of their special day for years to come or convey a message to their customers, my approach is different than most.

I believe photography should be the recording of an experience; images allow us to travel time, traverse great distances, connect with people, visit places and make tangible the things we may have never otherwise had the opportunity even to know existed. It is my mission to use my knowledge, creative vision and technical expertise to make each image not simply something to be looked at, but experienced as if you were right there in the moment.

A Little About Me . . .

Bio Photo

I was born in a small farming community in rural Ohio, and have loved being out in nature for as long as I can remember. I always knew that I wanted to explore as much of the world and its fascinating creatures as I possibly could. As I grew older, I realized my passion for sharing the beauty of a captured moment in nature with others through my photography. After a few years of living in Florida, and very much missing having more than one season, I fell in love with the west and found myself fortunate enough to make my home in the majestic Rocky Mountains. I have discovered endless inspiration and frequently find myself feeling as if I’m stepping into the places I’d only heard described in fairy tales. The amazing landscapes and diverse wildlife in the foothills and mountains of Colorado offer incredibly unique experiences that I always hope to bring to anyone viewing my artwork.

When I’m not taking photos for a client, traveling off on an adventure searching for a new location to explore, or spending time photographing animal friends, I can be found hiking with my best animal friend – our Rhodesian Ridgeback Knox, or enjoying a quiet evening with my husband in our mountain hideaway.
